Startup Advice: Pivoting or Keep Going

Chou Notes

Pivot means switching directions for your startup. Yu-kai’s advice is to stick to it if you still believe in it AND you are still passionate about it. If you no longer believe in it or because of the tweak it’s not as something you are passionate about, you might be better off just switching directions.

  1. Pretty sound advice. Of course there are also the aspect of the needs in your target market to consider. It may be that you find that you are getting potential clients to ask you to do something for them that is initially only a minor part of your business plan. The question is then if you can afford to continue on the same path or if you modify accordingly to better meet the needs of clients in your target market.

You must engage in the conversation!!
